This one is for all those Ms. Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy shippers out there who love to read all adaptions of Pride and Prejudice.

TL:DR : 5/5 recommended for every Pride and Prejudice fan, adorb fluff and angst!

The Lizzie Bennet Diaries is the most awesome modern day adaption of pride and prejudice. It is vlog featuring Ashley Clements as Lizzie Bennet, a grad student burdened with a mountain of student debt. The vlog walks us through ups and downs in Bennet sisters’ lives over the course of year where they meet rich and handsome Bing Lee and his stuck up friend William Darcy.

If the series is so awesome, why there is a book? Because people Lizzie promised Darcy not to reveal the letter to anyone!

The Secret Diary of Lizzie Bennet is like a behind the scenes for the web series. It has time jumps and sometimes hastily scribbled notes. It has Lizzie’s inconsistent narration and her musings. It has her doubts and her hopes and her aspirations.

What I loved: Ashley Clements's narration!

Seriously though, listening to her is a divine experience. She makes the story lively and the fluff! Oh my god the fluff! I basically picked up the book for Darcy's letter and Dizzie fluff. Darcy's adorable awkwardness from Lizzie's point of view and her interaction with Gigi who plays a bigger role in getting them together.

Sore points??

I HAVEN'T FOUND IT IN ANY LIBRARY YET!

Mostly I would have loved more attention to episode 90 onwards. If you are stickler for original storyline, you might not like it since it does not 100% stick to the original.

Will I reread it or not:

APRIL WRAP-UP: 🔸The Haunted Boy by Carson McCullers. This contains three short stories, all very melancholic and beautifully written. 🔸White Teeth by Zadie Smith. Really enjoyed this one but it is not flawless. 🔸Jasmine by Bharati Mukherjee. I appreciated the story but didn’t get along with the narrative style. 🔸Time’s Arrow by Martis Amis. This book was not for me and despite being quite short it was pretty tedious to read. 🔸The Woman Warrior by Maxine Hong Kingston. I had the same problems I had with Jasmine and Time’s Arrow. Not a fun of the narrative. 🔸Rise of Empire by Michael J. Sullivan. I was so mad when I finished reading this book because I wasn’t a fan of some of the decision Sullivan took but as a whole it was a very entertaining read. 🔸Circe by Madeline Miller. I finished it this morning but I read the majority in April and it will become one of my favorites this year and it is my favourite read of the month.
