Lush released a body spray of “Big”, their iconic shampoo. If you’ve never tried it, let me tell you, you’re missing out. I’m very keen on good smelling products and Big is one of those. It helps to make your hair more voluminous but it also smells AMAZING. Now I have it in a body spray. What does it smell like? Clean, fresh florals. Reminds me of a spring day by the ocean in Greece.

Working at Lush can be wild. We have jars around the shop with things like lemons, oats, cocoa butter, etc to show what the ingredients in our products look like. So yesterday I caught a woman with her hand in the jar of sea salt near the shampoos. I was like, “can I help you find something from our hair care”? Meanwhile, she’s just standing there rubbing the salt in her hands. She finally looks at me and says “I love salt. I just really love salt”. We have a shampoo that has a lot in it, so I offered her some to try in her hands and she ended up not liking it and asking me if she could just buy the salt. 🙈
For everyone with fine hair, listen up.
My hair is super duper fine, which has been a small annoyance I’ve had to put up with for my whole life. I’ve been searching for a product that would help give me more volume (that would actually hold throughout the day), and I didn’t find one until about a month ago when I went into Lush for some facial cleanser and a bubble bar.
Long story short, the woman ringing me up had noticed that I had been checking out haircare products, and she gave me a sample of their Big shampoo and Veganese conditioner, and holy shit my life has been changed forever.
I have volume that’s being held all day, which usually only happens with a curling iron and a sinful amount of professional theatre-grade hairspray. I got about three uses out of a tiny 1oz sample pot, so obviously a little goes a long way, which is really important when the products are more expensive than normal drugstore haircare. Add in that both of the products are vegan, and I’m hooked.
I felt obligated to share this info, and maybe I’ll do some more reviews in the future!!
