Big Sing

On Thursday the 4th of June, Newlands College competed in the annual Big Sing Competition that was held in the Michael Fowler Centre. Newlands hasn't competed in the Big Sing for a number of years so for the majority of us this year's Big Sing was our first competition. It was a great experience and we plan to compete again next year. We would like to thank Sharon Yearsley our choir director for putting in the effort to transform ordinary Newlands College students into a resounding choir.

As a result of this the Newlands College Northern Notes was invited to take part in a workshop that will be run by some professional choir singers. This will be held at Newlands College in the holidays and there will be 4 other schools attending. 

Competing in the Big Sing was an awesome experience and I can't wait to do it again next year.
