But neither himslef nor gandalf tells the company about it so everyone finds out about bilbo skills as the journey unfolds and they'r all just like "Damn who tf is this dude".

Meanwhile, Thorin is glaring daggers at Bilbo while secretly wishing he could make him his consort.

I do prefer cartoon ish style in my works, but the consort deserves a lot more than that.
