probably tpm and all his talk of elusive feelings and stuff. I always got the impression it was a vague unexplainable distress with him as opposed to Anakins quick, sharp and precise visions, which we've only seen manifest during sleep

oh, that makes sense! i never registered that line besides a “heyyy tb” because it’s one of those staples of star wars, like long drawn out “NOOOOOOOO”s and wilhelm screams lol. that also reminds me of that one point where qui-gon is all “keep your focus in the present moment” which i guess you could extrapolate to mean that obi-wan has a habit of keeping his attention on the future.

i like the idea that anakin’s visions are detailed! we know the jedi have an idea of force visions from obi-wan’s line in aotc “dreams pass in time” (which also could be ob-wan talking from personal experience, but the trope has been present in fanfic from the tpm days). so the jedi could definitely be getting vague images and feelings from their force visions that they are told to let go, but anakin, with such a strong force connection, gets clearer events. although there is something to be said of his success rate on acting on his visions instead of letting them go lmao
