Back in Black Vol. 44 - 1975 Moto Guzzi 850 T3 cafe by MotoMotivo.

A few months ago I posted a teaser of this superb Moto Guzzi. Johann Keyser of Raleigh’s Moto Motivo built this "period correct" café racer using as many NOS parts as possible. The design is very clean and classic with a monochromatic look, and the list of the one-off parts is quite long:

Frame was trimmed and shortened at the rear.

Custom, handmade mudguards front and rear.

Custom hand-formed aluminum fuel tank.

Billet aluminum rear sets, cylinder head guards, and chassis stiffening plate.

Custom seat.

Relocation of the battery under the bike, just behind the transmission.

Higher handlebars, instead of clip-ons, for a more comfortable riding position, with Hella bar end indicators.

Air filter and all electrics were removed from the center part of the frame to give the bike a “see through” look.

Digital ignition replaced the old points and condenser system.

New modern charging system.

Rear drum brake was replaced with a disc brake from a later Moto Guzzi 850 T3.

Instruments were removed from the original bracket and holders and re-fitted in a new billet aluminum panel.

Engine cases, valve covers, and exhaust system were painted in heat proof satin black, while the other alloy parts were either polished or left raw.
