Just as Alisaie and Ophinne were growing closer, Alphinaud joined the Coils expedition, and Ophinne saw the twins truly interact for the first time beyond their initial meeting at the remembrance ceremonies. 'Twas as if all the confidence was sucked out of her new friend by her old friend's presence, and she found herself irritated at Alphinaud for how he treated his sister until the incident with the Crystal Braves pushed them back together.

Ever want to start raiding in FFXIV? You should try doing it MiNE (Minimum Item level, No Echo) where you're stats are synced to the bare minimum they'll even let you enter the fight, and you dont get any extra buff to make the fights easier. In fact, try to find a group that doesn't know anything about the fight, and won't look up a guide or take hints, so you can do it truly blind. Absolutely. There will be zero pain and suffering whatsoever, itll be fun! On an unrelated note, here's a compilation of us dying for 20 minutes straight doing MiNE Blind prog of The Binding Coils Of Bahamut's final boss, Bahamut prime himself. I spent like three days editing this, definitely want to do it for some of the other fight!

I’ve cleared the coils for Yuri ^-^

One group in the early afternoon up until T9, where we had to stop cos irl got in the way for me, and then one samurai in the evening that basically solo’d everything cos I kept dying :’D the urge to unlock red mage for Yuri is higher cos of some decent self heals...as well as the urge to try sam for that big dps XD

But I still love the storyline of coils, and that its all locked behind raids without a story mode difficulty cos they didn’t start doing that till alexander cos they didn’t realise it was too hard is ;3; tragic

I still absolutely adore Alisaie and her growth from this series, while she isn’t featured in msq. She’s a lovely compassionate and spirited young woman, that she also sees that Bahamut and Nael and the dragons of Mercydia were wronged and deserve their proper send off.

Also! I know she gets memed plenty as the stabby twin while Alphinaud’s the smart one, but damn, its good to redo Coils and be reminded that she’s plenty smart as well. Yeah you could brush it off as just early characterisation that they then ironed out, but she should still be able to show it. She’s the one that figured out the aether was screwy in the air and did most of the theorising.
