I hate that binge-watching is now the norm
Getting off my usual topic here to say I wish we could return to episodic (periodic-release) television:
They get to start releasing a show earlier. They don't need to get post-production done for all the episodes before posting the first episode.
Experiencing the story becomes a shared experience. We get to experience the story together as a community in real-time. Every week we get to talk about the latest episode and obsess about the details.
We can actually talk to our friends about the show. So long as our friends have watched the latest ep, we can talk about everything we've seen and speculate about what happens next. No more awkward conversations trying to figure out how far they've gone. No more shutting down discussion because A has seen the whole season but B has only seen one episode.
It gives time for the story to breathe. Writers get to give cliffhangers the weight they intended.
Anyway, that's my probably-futile attempt to convince Netflix to release Stranger Things 5 episodically, or at least in more than one volume. I want to start watching the first episode as soon as possible! =D
