Arbitrary Token of the Week: Bird (RTR)

This week’s arbitrary token is James Ryman’s 1/1 white Bird creature token with flying, created by Eyes in the Skies from Return to Ravnica. RTR was the set for which I attended my very first Prerelease event, and I picked none other than the Selesyna Conclave with which to do battle. It’s been several years since then, and with Modern Masters 2017 being released this weekend, I can once again live the Populating dream! Send in ALL THE BIRBS!

Arbitrary Token of the Week: Bird (KTK)

This week’s arbitrary token is Mark Zug’s 3/4 white Bird creature token with flying from Khans of Tarkir, as produced by Wingmate Roc, which featured the Raid mechanic. Back at GP Los Angeles 2014, I played in the Saturday Morning Special event, which was Khans of Tarkir Sealed, and cracked open a foil Wingmate Roc. It was a huge bomb in that format, as it was when it was in Standard. Immediately after the event, I traded the foil Roc for a Crucible of Worlds at my LGS’s vendor booth. Best trade I’ve ever made up to date. CAW!
