I waited a few days to consider whether I wanted to answer these anons, but you know what, I think I should address this one (there were multiple). Because this frankly hits the nail on the head for me, so let me just say:

And THIS ladies and offspring of ladies is why you should never trust anyone denying biphobia. We have objective statistics that show bisexual women are at higher risk of rape and DV than any other class of women (link) (another post), and when you see people denying biphobia exists, even after being informed of the statistics, THIS is why. THIS is their thought process.

They don't go "oh bisexuals are more targeted by men (due to the stereotypes of bisexuals being constantly-sexually-available and "easy" etc) that's awful!" they internally think "well what do bisexual women do to put themselves at higher risk? bisexuals ARE promiscuous after all."

It is so exhausting to see the gaslighting gay people are put through when people try to force them to accept queer as an identity.

However, among all of the arguments I see, I think the one I find most heinous is the "queer isn't a slur anymore, it's not [insert 19xx year] anymore" Fucking hell does it just boil by blood.

Honestly at this point I'm just waiting for the biphobes to claim I'm dick-obsessed or I'm dating a man, when... I'm pretty sure I'd be considered a febfem, I literally have a whole ass tag "reasons to never date men" because I think dating men is... an INSANELY bad decision. One which I'm almost certain I never plan to make. I don't call myself a febfem because the label itself just comes from biphobic roots and reinforces biphobic ideals. Like. You are not smarter than all other women, you will not "sniff out a good one" you are NOT better than other women.

But unlike these freaks, I believe women can make bad decisions, especially ones that they are heavily socialized to make, and still not be "stupid male-worshipping sluts worthless to feminism." The fact is, women making mistakes doesn't mean they deserve abuse. Women making mistakes (dating men) is the entire reason why we made and need domestic abuse shelters, it's why we defend these shelters from tims entering it, because women make these mistakes and they do not deserve to suffer for them. They deserve help.

It's fucking sad that, me, the one who genuinely questions the sanity of any woman who even tolerates a pregnancy or even "just" a penis (anti-piv, stay mad) inside her is capable of being more Normal about bisexual women than these people.
