I like to imagine her as bisexual. She and Sirius were quite surprised to find themselves so close in that way in an era where this kind of behaviour wasn't so commonly admitted.

They were the archetype of sexfriends, the kind who could speak of their last fling while f*cking. Hogwarts is a small community and they soon realised that they had more than a few names in common on their lists of flings. Naturally, like the little bitches they were, they had a secret diary in which they commented on the skills of their lovers.

But if Sirius was aro, Marlene wasn't and she fell in love with a girl she met a little after they left Hogwarts. She ended the ''thing'' she had with him and wowed and gained Dorcas (after many difficulties and adventures).

When she died Sirius really mourned her as she was maybe the only one he could have considered as a relationship, because at least he felt great love for her as a friend (which was more than he could say of all his other partners).

So this picture taken in 1979 could have been taken by Sirius as well as by Dorcas... I’ll let you choose.''
