A detailed theme review for my code thief, bitchmagnets. ♥

Many of you may already know that mehrmantrauts hankschradr bitchmagnets normreeds (main blog) aka stellar.pw (wordpress) stole my theme as mentioned here: [ ✖ ] Even if she locked the blog, a kind little birdie tipped me off about her main blog and so I found out that she stole my other theme too. But the other important thing is, I managed to gather enough evidence to bring her down as well as finding her other social networking sites.

But where would the fun be if I just made a boring post about how you shouldn't steal people's themes, right? After all, I'm sure she's had plenty of insults and messages about how fucking awful and shameless she is from everyone else.

Therefore, I've decided to take a more creative and fresh approach and do a detailed theme review of the codes of mine that she dissected and put together without crediting me, of course. So let us begin! ^u^

(WARNING: EXTREMELY LONG POST)

I'm sure alot of us already enjoyed watching the show of her editing my theme on her bitchmagnets blog two days ago. I managed to capture a part of the process before she locked it.

In all honesty, I'd just like to admit that I was genuinely worried that she would make something better out of it than I did because if that really happens, I wouldn't know where to put my face.

So this morning, I went to check her blog again only to find that it was locked but don't worry! I've gotten hold of her main blog instead:

Looks familiar doesn't it? That's because it's one of my released themes, Avalanche, and it originally looks like this:

I won't say much about this theme that she tweaked since it's not the main point but I'd just like to comment that she did a pretty good job at tweaking it despite it not being really my style. But if I had a petite and feminine style, this would be the look I would go for. :) Oh, and the pagination kinda looks out of place so you may want to fix that next time.

Alright, here comes the grand finale of me nitpicking at her current theme! The very one that she was working on bitchmagnets and here is the end result that we've all been waiting for:

At the first glance, I was like 'wow' (from both shock at how different it looked the other day and disgust at how it's stolen AND combined with my other theme). But when I begin to slowly take in the details, I kinda went 'meh'.

Exhibit 1 - Balance

1.1 // While having a wide sidebar on the left and posts on the right is a very common design, it has equal weight distribution simply because the posts balances out the sidebar while the rest of the white space on the right is ignored. However in this theme, had it been what I described above, it would have looked much better. The two things that throws this layout off balance would be the extremely redundant piece of black shit in the center (not to mention fucking long for no reason as well).

1.2 // The white vertical text on the black space already throws the layout off balance but having that small padding of black below makes it even worse; as though that text doesn't even belong there. If it was to balance with the black, it should have been connected together with the white like in my theme.

Exhibit 2 - Alignment

As you can already tell from above, I simply loathe the redundant piece of black shit at the top. Firstly, it's not even in line with the posts. If you really want to have it, it should at least have been shorter in width so that it aligns with the posts. Second thing would be the top and left margin of the posts. Please, for the love of God, make it the same width. Does it not make you fucking uncomfortable to see that the empty space at the top is so short in comparison to the space on the left? Because it sure does to me.

Exhibit 3 - Fonts

5 fucking font types. I simply do not know why or how you can even call yourself a web designer (as stated on your wordpress) if you don't even know such basic rules of web design: the lesser number of fonts, the better. Usually people keep it to less than 3 or 4. Personally, I keep it to a maximum of 2 to keep it neat and clean. b UT WOAH QURL YOU SURE GO CRAZY WITH YOUR FONTS MY G OD pls calm down there

Exhibit 4 - Colors

Of course this color scheme is fucking perfect, I was the one who came up with it.

4.1 Navigation // Is it just me or does everyone else have a huge problem with this as well? With my laptop screen just tilted backwards a tad bit, it fuCK ING DISAPPEARS INTO THE BACKGROUND? ?? ?? And to make sure that I wasn't blind, I went to check the color code of it and it was #222222. For those who aren't familiar with color codes, let me show you the comparison between this color and black (#000000):

I think you get my drift (put a fCUKING LIGHTER COLOR GDI)

4.2 Sidebar gif // I understand that you really like this Aaron Paul guy from Breaking Bad but you need to see that the color doesn't really match the color scheme. It'd be most suitable if you put a monochrome gif instead. I found a few nice ones for you! :)

4.3 Line thingy // Why is that shade of salmon lighter than the rest? I understand if it's another accent color but I don't see that lighter color anywhere else so it seems kinda out of place.

Exhibit 5 - Space & Placement

One word: No.

Conclusion All in all, I'd give this theme a 5/100 because it's stolen from me and put together in the most shitty way possible but I gave a 5 for good effort.

Thank you so much for stealing my themes because I know that not many people are as talented as me to be able to create such beautiful themes and simply do not have the guts to admit to that, I understand. It truly flatters me and so I hope this post will guide you to be a better web designer that you claim to be (LOL nice try though)

i would just go and try anyway if you’re in that much pain i had a bad toothache last week and my SIL gave me t3’s and they were the only thing that helped, although only briefly.

I'm thinking I could also call the hospital I was at and be like HEY YO I THINK YOUR DOCTOR FUCKED UP AND I DO HAVE AN INFECTION BECAUSE IT HURTS WORSE NOW THANKS

yeah when i get home im going to just avoid him. i have a legit reason to i mean my tooth fucking hurts and i'm tired because i got like a whopping 2 hours of sleep last night before my tooth woke me up
