the way that red hood era jason todd literally has one mediocre to bad storyline and everything else ever written about him is hot flaming fucking garbage. coming out to the void of my blog as an under the hood hater i really don’t think it’s that good or compelling and i’m so completely baffled by the jason did nothing wrong gang like he was so completely in the wrong in every aspect of that situation. like i’m sorry but i seriously don’t know what’s attractive to people about a white man with a gun insisting he’s carrying out some necessary justice…

also bear with me here. but many people have pointed out the similarities between jason and steph and the situations surrounding their deaths. and yet people will write thousands of words of meta and fanfiction about jason’s trauma. and then when it comes to steph’s trauma it’s crickets or victim blaming. listen i’ve seen people say they don’t even like to acknowledge war games and just ignore it because it’s a shitty terrible story arc… BUT SO IS DEATH IN THE FAMILY HAVE YOU PEOPLE READ THAT SHIT. AND SO IS LOST DAYS FOR THAT MATTER which is where i think so many people get that “jason only hurts people who deserve it and protects women and children!!”. anyway what i’m trying to say is war games sucks and i hate it but it is fundamentally important to stephs character in the same way death in the family is to jason. and the way people ignore her story but latch onto jason’s… i have to laugh! people just fundamentally care about steph less and i can’t imagine why that is (<- is tired)

anyway i think the point of this got away from me but in conclusion there’s nothing in jason todd’s story that you can’t find elsewhere in better written comics and at the end of the day i like reading good comics. and i don’t really like bad comics hope this helps 💜
