“Oh, um...” Sonja pulled out her phone. Maybe a few songs off her favorite playlist would work. The first song that she played was Waratte by CHI-KA. “It’s a really good song,” she began with a smile, “’cause it’s so positive and laid back! Whenever I feel down, I listen to this one. I know I also listen to it when I’m getting ready. I think it describes the way I want to take on life, really!”

With a giggle, she moved on to the next song, Two by Sleeping at Last. “This one is a lot more mellow. I dunno. This song just... speaks to me.” She hummed it a little. “I really like it.”

Five of swords: Describe a day where everything went wrong.

Well, there was that time when her ex-boyfriend... Ah, she didn’t want to bring down the mood. 

With a snap of her fingers and a smile, she thought of another time. “Well, once when I was younger and learning how to make crepes, they turned out all burnt and uneven!” She cringed at the image popping back in her head. “I worked really hard on them too! I made a mess out of the kitchen, but I wanted to impress my parents...”

She kept a smile on her face while telling this story, because every story had its happy ending, right? 

“However, when I shamefully showed my dad, you know what he said? ‘Sweets have to be made with a happy heart.’ He also told me some funny stories about the first time he made food and I was instantly cheered up and motivated. So, taking that piece of advice and story, I practiced and practiced until I kept getting it right!” 

Laney grinned thinking back on those times. No one is born with the natural ability to bake or some other special talent. Even the pros have to start somewhere. It turns out that all it takes is hard work and love. ♡

Last Supper. || Gale and Chase

He probably looked a little crazy when he walked into the bar, hair windblown and even more eccentric looking than usual. He had a large cloth bag under his arm, filled to bursting with aged parchment, a telescope, odd metal instruments. The scent of dried herbs lingered in the air around him like a cloud. 

Setting the bag by a seat, Gale silently stepped to the bar, mismatched eyes scanning over a beaten menu with a gaze that seemed more alive than the rest of him. Actually, up close, he looked a little unhealthy. Tired, if anything. The twigs stuck in his frizzed locks definitely didn’t make him look sane, that was for sure.

Dragging his thin finger over a menu, he scanned over an option with a mild grimace. Squid and tomato...? He’d surely avoid that. 

Feeling a gaze on him, he spoke, quiet and slow.

“...Is it okay...to eat at the bar....? I...don’t want someone...to sit with me....” 

When the wizard raised his head, it was slow, as if his body moved in a different time. He clearly wasn’t in any hurry, considering it was the middle of the night.

“For food...I....would like your recommendation...It’s been a while since I last ate...” 

He purses his lips lightly, pulling back his hand and its stark white tattoos.

“Anything you choose is good...So long as it doesn’t...have squid or octopus...”

“I would say...I’m not so consistent..”

Rubbing his temples lightly, Gale gave a tired stare to his own faint reflection in the glass of a window.

“I’m...Not a fortune teller...and I’m...not mysterious. I’m not hiding some sort of secret emotional side...I’m just...tired, I suppose. Disappointed.”

UM. Well, they weren't really sure anymore. Getting a body back was kind of the only singular goal he had in his life up until this point, but now that was done. So, maybe? "I'd ... I'd like to see them again." He replies softly, looking to the ground a bit sheepishly. It was embarrasisng to think he was so hesitant to see his family again, but it had been so many years. Could they still even remember him? He was justa child then. ( Maybe they gave up hope. )

"Not now, but soon. I'd like to see my family again."

ASK MEME // FOOL: what’s the biggest risk you’ve ever taken?

Such an easy question. Heck, there were a lot of risks that she had to take in life to get even remotely close to where she wanted to be. Asking suitors for expensive gifts just to sell them for money to provide for her brother when her parents were too busy drinking, performing as a gypsy in front of people who could arrest her and have her thrown in jail at any point. They were all risks that she took but not with choice. There was only one incident in her life that stood out as her biggest risk taken voluntarily.

“Well...” she began. “I joined the circus when I was a teenager~!” Michelle exclaimed, flashing a smile. “I didn’t exactly run away from home or anything, but leaving a town that I had slowly become comfortable with was a huge risk! Let me tell you now though, it’s certainly paid off!” The pinkette giggled. “I mean look at me, I’m my own act now! And I’m cute to boot!”

“Someone who is lazy, not disciplined. A person polar opposite to me would have no sense of honor, or loyalty, and no drive. A lazy person with weak morals, and a lack of accountability.” She stated with little hesitation after being asked the question, disgust in her voice just thinking of such a person.
