hi!! i have a question, do you have any designs for the farmer's children?
I did not but I decide to finally draw them for this ^^^^^^
All of their names come from the earth
Bjarg = rock, Leir = Clay, Gimi = Gem.
Why? Well because Loki knew that Vit wanted children but he had just given birth to Svilla a while back and that was EXTREMELY painful so he wasn’t all that keen to do that all over again. So he instead just infused Vit’s blood and some dirt to make these kids. He just pretended to be pregnant with magic.
Since @ravenwritesstuff has jokes, @fericita-s and I got jokes too!

could you POSSIBLY give us a snippet of Bjarg’s thought process the first time he had to deal with urges tied to Logi??? thank you I love you (regardless of whether or not you answer the question)
She is pretty but he does not let himself notice, not at first. Not when the cuts and bruises on her face made it easier to ignore. He ignores her as much as he can, ignores her fine clothes and soft hands and marked inexperience. He ignores her trim waist and the way her little pink tongue darts out to wet her split lip.
He ignores her. Until he doesn’t.
The fire is bright as they sit beside it. Her small hands work to mend a few tears in his garments and he is glad for her efforts. He had learned to stitch but never much liked it and if she is here he will not begrudge her a way to pass her time.
He focuses on the work in his hands, blade and grit stone, as he works to keep it sharp. The slide of the metal on mineral is familiar, soothing, and he lets his mind wander. His eyes follow suit.
Her hair, always vibrant, takes a deeper shade of red by firelight. The strange white streak shimmering in unnatural brilliance in the braid along her thin neck. His eyes linger there on the column of her throat, on the junction of where it meets her shoulder, and he wonders if it would taste as sweet as it looks.
The thought is no longer in his mind than he is tearing his eyes away from her and putting them back to his task. He doesn’t dare lose his focus the rest of the evening.
So let’s talk about the oh-so atmospheric Chapters 26 & 27:
There are a bunch of spoilers for @ravenwritesstuff Wandering Hearts below the break. If you haven’t read this “Hold My Beer” of Kristanna Slow Burns, you haven’t lived your best life.
1. Arg. I’m glad she doesn’t remember exactly where it was but it’s fucking balls that she remembers giving up.
2. “She had seen something then that she had not understood”: Yes, the wild thing. Bjarg. There’s a reason you called him Bjarg back in those early days.
3. “He had saved her in those woods all those months ago: afraid, alone, and nearly spent. She will not leave him to the same fate without her.” Good. This is good. This is growth after all that running she’s done.
4. “If monsters are real as he said she will not let him face one alone - especially not if she had unwittingly brought it upon them.” Denial. Not just a river in Egypt. Logi. Dear. Darlin’. Come on.
5. BJARG V. TROLL THROWDOWN!
6. But why are they throwing down? We still know so little about the trolls and Bjarg’s relationship to them. Are they fighting? Training? Is that the WH version of Bulda asking Kristoff why he hasn’t consummated his marriage to his lovely young wife via troll language as a proxy for your desperately thirsty readers? Who knows?
7. Gotta love that Anna/Logi logic. Hurl a snowball at Marshmallow. Hurl a tiny stone at a BIG ASS TROLL.
8. “She hadn’t known that Bjarg could fail her.” Legit physical pain in my chest at this line. He’s only human. He tried.
9. “She had never been as truly alone as she is in this moment.” Aaaaaaaand just when I think the pain from the knife that you’re digging in my goddamn heart can’t get any worse you hit us with this.
10. “For what had she waited? She had been silent her entire life.” I’m sending you my fucking therapy bills, ok?
11. It’s fascinating the small, fleeting connections that Anna is making in these moments between the mirror, the night in the hall when Elsa harmed her (presumable), her mother – how it all weaves together in her splintered mind.
12. I love that her mother cursed and then immediately told her to forget it. That’s EXACTLY what motherhood is. You see none of your virtues but all of your faults in your children.
13. Also – the significance to Anna acknowledging that this is her story AND Bjarg’s. Heartrendering.
14. NO GETTING SQUASHED TODAY, BITCHES!
15. Props to Logi for recovering so quickly in this unknown magic realm and immediately going to search for him.
16. “Where was her dagger?” IT’S A GIANT TROLL! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’RE GOING TO ACCOMPLISH!? GO SIT DOWN!
17. Oh. Ok. Your hiding spot was also a massive troll. I’m as much of a dumbfuck here as you are.
18. I imagine it’s rather unsettling for her to not know where Bjarg is – she’s always known where he is. Except when she bolted last. Even with the Nordic Hillbillies she had an idea of where he was.
19. I’m so sorry. I know I’m an asshole. But the idea of Logi running smack into the third troll Looney-Toons Style is just more than I can manage without laughing like an idiot.
20. “Release me”. Logi is doing as well as anyone can be expected to do. Let’s be honest. We’d all be hollering.
21. Interesting point raised- are these the trolls that her parents took her to after the accident with Elsa? Is Elsa part troll? Why is this thing familiar? Come to think of it, why didn’t Bjarg bring her here after the attack?
22. “Come,” says the monster, deep voice quaking through her as it holds her tight in its immense, jagged hands. She doesn’t suppose she have much of a choice.” Understatement of the year.
23. So many troll questions.
24. “All she has in the present, it is all she has ever had.” This line packs an emotional punch.
25. “Maybe today. Not today. Never today.” A thousand thirsty readers feel you on a spiritual level, girl.
26. “There are moments that define you, rob you of who you are and instead tell you just what you are made of, and it is a place she knows well.” I’m not here to get called out by fanfiction.
27. “The figure snaps around at her touch and screams “ I vaguely recall originally reading this at some ungodly hour and just being so wigged out by the chapter and everything that was going on. This story is an enigma, wrapped in a mystery, wrapped in so, so much unresolved sexual tension. It is glorious.
So what was Bjarg's actual though process when Logi said "Show me?"?
He never should have opened his mouth. He has no right to speak to her about such things, to speak to her this way. He had undressed her to tend her wounds, knew the extent of them - the cause of them, saw her struggle to heal in ways he never had. He’s been intentional, careful - always keeping a respectful distance because he knows she trusts him.
He won’t do anything to compromise that, not when she is so strange and soft. Not when he still does not quite understand her.
Show me. She says.
And he could. She is healing prettily. The external evidence of the incident are but faint shadows, but he can see the rawness in her eyes. Something there is too restless there, desperate. He looks at the white stripe in her hair, the freckles on the bridge of her nose, the thin curve of her waist and knows that while it would be easy to show her it would be anything but simple.
He steps in and takes the pitchfork from her hand. She stiffens on a breath that he is certain hurts, and tries to keep his expression soft because he knows that her wounds are not just physical, as he meets her eyes.
