This will be a little of a throwback to when we both got promoted earlier this summer. We got taken by surprise so the official picture had to wait. But here it is! Our professsor and coach in the middle, me to the left with his old brown belt and Moa to the right with my old purple belt. Our belts are heirlooms and get passed down the line. I was looking thru some photos and this is taken for exactly 3 years ago. Look at the belt ranks. Moa still had white and that is our main coach with his brown belt. Which now have been passed down to me and he have the rank of professor. But Moa went from white to purple in 3 years, that is pretty amazing. But it is well earned. We have been working with deephalf the last week, a position I havent used that much. I know about it but things never really clicked, until now. Sometimes it is good to go back and explore positions when you are more experienced. ⠀ ⠀ I really love this easy and basic escape and sweep when someone is crushing you with a nasty crossface in halfguard and you getting passed is only a matter of time.
