Highest Score: Love Syndrome III
The most toxic show of all time that knew it, embraced it and loved it. It was shockingly good for what it was and I enjoyed it way more than I should have. This is the show that truly reminded me that what I dislike isn't the toxic relationships but rather the way the shows treat the toxic relationships.
Recent: Triage
One of the best done time loops ever that won me over entirely and not just because it's @benkaben's favorite show. Amazing characters, amazing plot points, just a deeply enjoyable show that took a premise and ran with it. Love them so much and one of the few shows I love so much that I willingly watched it on my phone to make sure I could watch it live.

I loved and cheered for every couple. I honestly can say I have lost count how many times I have rewatched this series and I’m just amazed at the friendships with so many different personalities and how you could tell the love they all had for each other.
❤ Favorite Male: two because he was smart and had good advice and truly was always on thirds side even though if memory serves I think he knew khai longer but he was just always there for third, like the scene in bar when third sees khai kissing a girl and he goes downstairs to also kiss someone else and they have an argument and break up and two walks up at the end doesn't know what happened or any of the details but he sees third is upset and just immediately like makes a face at khai and follows third out
❤ Favorite Female: paan because I just liked her vibe when she was first introduced she was just like cool you know plus pretty as all hell
❤ Favorite Pairing: untwo because idk they were cute and I always think back to the end when un is on the boat and they're waving at each other and bone makes some comment about everyone having boyfriends or whatever just cute and I low-key don't want to pick the obvious but don't get me wrong i love khaithird just as much
❤ Least Favorite Character: I like all the mains just enough to not dislike any of them but if I had to pick a least it would be that one girl who comes to khais place when third there and khai isn't and goes all crazy looking for him, ya know? her
❤ who’s most like me: third because I too would like a person for 4 years(it was 4 right?) And just like be content in my suffering then feeling the possible rejection and ruining of our friendship

P.S I had to rewatch a bit of this jog my memory a bit and it just made me realize I watched this show at the wrong time and I wish I could experience this now for the first time again, I watched this very early on in discovering bls and in the beginning I was just into to them for completly different reasons then I am into them now and I just think it messed up my experience with the show

1. what was a bl that you thought would be meh but turned out to be one of your favorites To My Star. I always try to keep my hopes low with korean bls, espacially after watching Wish You. Another bl about a celebrity... But it did surprise me. And I love it now. The soundtrack is good, the storyline is good and so are the actors. <3
2. if there was one thing you could change about a bl you despise (that would make it less awful) what would it be? Tonhon Chonlatee, the amount of toxic masculinity was unbearable, but the SA scenes were definitely worse. So, if you would remove all SA scenes or at least deal with them properly, I think it would be definitely less awful - still not enjoyable for me tho.
3. think about the bl you hate the most, now give me at least one thing that you like/love about it Have to go with History 4: Close to you. And I think that the only thing I did quite like in this was the fact that the setting was not in university/high school but work. Yep...that's it.
4. one of your pet peeves that you overlooked because it was in your favorite bl that's a tough one, because I'm really nitpicky. But it's the love triangle/square in I Told Sunset About You, but let me explain! This show actually made me root for all possible couple outcomes. So, that's why I ignored it. Not only because of my bias, but also because I was fond of all the characters and their relationships.
5. what are some instant red flags that a bl won't be good there are many instant red flags. just to name a few:
The "girly girlfriend" is one, because her being into feminine things is often villanized (á la "she only cares about looking good and make up and isn't a good girlfriend and he deserves someone better") and she turns out to be the "crazy ex-girlfriend".
Lines like "he belongs to me" or "he's mine" often lead to SA scenes by the villain and the love interest.
Too many slapstick sound effects often forshadow poor comedy and writing (at least it`s not my cup of tea)
Also, fujoshis - especially when related to the MC or the love interest (it creeps me the fuck out when the sister/mother/co-worker ship the MC with someone and secretly take pictures of them or write fanfics about them)

the list goes on and on I could make an entire post just about that
bonus question: what's the BL show which is popular and you don't know why? tharntype. there are only two "reasons" why I could imagine it being popular. 1) the leads have great chemistry and 2) many explicit scenes but you can find both in other (imho better) shows as well, so how is this show different? What`s so unique about it? it's so problematic and toxic and I can't and I actually don't wanna understand how a series like this can be so popular and loved by so many.

I am caught up entirely on everything currently airing, yay! I really enjoyed the first episode and I am deeply endeared by everyone in the show. Deeply so. Precious boys.
1, I think I saw it! As long as it gets an international release, I will watch everything out of Japan. I enjoy most of it
2, I am enjoying Countdown to Yes but it is paced... as slowly as possible. It is paced so slowly that sometimes you forget what's happening because nothing happened... and yet I still like it. Especially these later episodes. Of the three listed, I would definitely say that World of If is my favorite. I really enjoyed that show just so much. Boy Next World... better ending for the family overall in the Japanese version otherwise they're basically beat for beat but the Japanese one is shorter. Not being a huge MAME fan... I don't really recommend either one. I think the Thai one was overall a bit better? Maybe?
3, I'd watch World of If, then Countdown to Yes, then Thai Boy Next World than Japanese Boy Next World. I mean, if you gotta you gotta.

Until We Meet Again- my 1st Bl so it has my heart plus I mean just look at Dean and the way he takes care of Pharm 🥰and my favorite part when he told Alex to leave his boyfriend alone, I love his protective side❣️
We Are - Pond x Phuwin are my favorite couple and this show is my favorite enemies to lovers series ❣️ just seeing the way they look at each other I mean no words are needed a lot of the time!!

Until We Meet Again- Pharm Team and Manow meet 1st day of school and that was it, they treated each other like family. Teasing each other over their boyfriends, when any one of them was sick and of course their first love.. food 🍲 Then there was Dean and Win, known each other since high school and they were more like brothers . I loved how one minute they calling each other out on their BS but then the next caring if the other was sick or upset.
We Are~ I loved and cheered for every couple. I honestly can say I have lost count how many times I have rewatched this series and I’m just amazed at the friendships with so many different personalities and how you could tell the love they all had for each other. When Peam was a sad puppy (Using Tan’s words) they came to his room and cheered him up and spent the night. The way they all plotted to get Q to admit his feelings for Toey. The way Q was not a fan of Phum but respected Peam having feelings for him and was even nice to him 😉 The matching shirts when hanging out. Going to the see Q sing or when they all went to the art show to see Q and Peam’s art. The many dinners at Peam’s house like they had an open door policy.
My Favorite episodes though is when they visited Peam’s parents house. Q walks up to mom and shows off his boyfriend that he told her about on the phone. Tan showing of his boyfriend Fang. Peam and Phum in the kitchen with mom. And of course the dinner scene when Dad shows up and asks about the new guys. Both parents welcome them all like they are one big happy family ❣️When they were leaving getting hugs and getting invited to come back. The beach trip where they all just had fun after those stupid exams- lol.
What can u say about Bl actors who are…rather homophobic, transphobic and/or misogynistic behind the scenes? Like how would you react on that?
And how would you feel if its your favorite actor (if you have) who is/are that?
There is a reason I try not to pay much attention to actors because, frankly, most of them are young and they're not always gonna say the right thing and I don't have any good cultural context for what they say or the promise of accurate translations so... what can I say? I don't approve. I don't like it.
But I also often don't hear about it and I don't seek it out either.
So what I would do? It would depend on context and what was going on. There are so many different ways to approach this and to consider it as well as to consider other actors reactions in the shows they're in and so on.
I would be very disappointed and would rethink my opinion of them. But... I don't know that it would mean I would stop watching anything they're in.
I mean, I watch MAME stuff despite a lot of issues I have, I've finished show that I found to be horrifying, I've watched shows that seemed to buy into a thousand different homophobic ideas so... I dunno.
This is such a bad answer.
I'd be disappointed. I would speak out against what they said and I rather hope we can move past those issues now as more and more actors are seeing this as normalized and just part of life rather than something they have to do in their career.
But I don't know how much else I would or could do. Speak out against them, hope they didn't get more roles or, at least, hope they could grow into someone better.
I just always think about how young some of these actors are, they're teens and early twenties, often living at home, influenced deeply by the people around them and the world they've always known and I can only hope that the projects they work on can open their minds and help them change and learn. Because it is definitely possible to learn.
So, how do I react? With disappointment and hope for the future to get better.

Ooo, this is a good one but rough because there's, like, a total of ten lapsitting moments in all of BL so... I just have to remember them! Augh. I don't even REMEMBER despite my love of this trope.
TOSSARA: My favorite. My number one. The best lapsitting because it's so darling and because it was the first.
2. Mr. Cinderella: Absolutely darling and I love how sweetly Ba Vinh sits in his lap. A+, hope we get more of him sitting in laps in the future.
3. You are Ma Stupid Boy: This one wings just for how sweet the little pull off his feet bit was.
4. Unforgotten Night is one here for sheer quantity over quality. Love it so much. Why is this trope so common in BLs most people don't appreciate?
5. Want To See You: Again, Ba Vinh loves lapsitting. As does Vietnam in general, it seems.
6. Secret Crush on You: ... It counts. Shut up. I just love them, okay?
7. Cutie Pie: Also just love these boys.
8. Ai Long Nhai: This is high just because it's also a tiny piano lesson and it was adorable beyond belief. And I remember it!
There are probably more and ones I actually liked more but this is the list of ones I remember, have gifs or images of and just... liked? I like them all.
And my +1 that doesn't get a gif or screenshot because I don't want it to is... every moment of broken consent in the second half of LITA. Every single one. Just... worst trope ever, why is 'I'm going to do this TO you' a trope anyway?
