You ever see a non-human character so explicitly Black-coded, or a character you know damn well would be Black if they were human... but then you got mfs in your comments being like, "Erm, actually they're [whatever creature they are]" or "Why are we making everything a race thinggg?"

This is exactly how I feel about the Pinkie Pie debate. (There are so many other examples, but I'm using her for today.) There is no fucking way you can look at me and tell me you have seen a white person, not a biracial/mixed person, a WHITE person with a natural afro. And no, I don't mean an artificially made one that took 500+ treatments, forced heat manipulation, perms, and other forms (such as examples down here):

After seeing bendy basically fully confirmed as black and seeing this panel and it made me thinking of bendy’s black coding

(Quick disclaimer: I’m not black. But I am Hispanic and Native American, so if I say anything incorrect or wrong about black culture and black people please feel free to correct me politely. Just know none of it is out of malice and if any actually black people want to add to this conversation then please feel free to do so since I am no authority on black people)

Allot of POC cultures, including black people hold their cultures and traditions super close to their chest and allot of times they treat their own people as “outsiders” for being raised not knowing it and not around it: some cultures even straight up have words for people like this (main examples being “white washed” and “no sabo kids”) even tho this a lot of the times tends to harm that same community.

and now apply that to Bendy: someone whose never even meet another women, let alone understood the “culture”? How hard would it not to feel like an outsider? How hard would it be to feel like you don’t belong? Just food for thought.

Happy Black History Month to the late Scatman Crothers and Buster Jones!

Happy Black History Month to the two legends, Scatman Crothers and Buster Jones for bringing the goats Jazz and Blaster to life.

The fact that Crothers was a musician like Jazz and Jones was not only a television host but also a disc jockey which both fit Blaster very well with him being a boombox and being a television host in Shattered Glass or other continuities I’m not aware of, only adds to the fact they were both born to play those two and that these two characters will forever be black coded characters.

Rest in power to you gentlemen ✊🏽

And thank you for bringing these two iconic characters to life.

As a bonus, happy Black History Month to all of Jazz’s voice actors that came after Scatman Crothers as well.

Even Darius McCray who Micheal Bay utterly wasted, considering the fact he’s a musician as well and would’ve been perfect for Jazz if he didn’t get turned into a stereotype and was killed off in the first movie being the first one the die in the whole series.

Hey can you stop making Monty black purely just because he’s the aggressive one compared to prim and proper Freddy. Same goes for Roxanne but to a lesser extent. Which is rooted in the fear, hypermasculization, and subjugation of black men in history. Obviously he is very black coded due to his VA, association with bayous, etc but I know how fandoms can be. Also please for all that is holy don’t make him just some villain because of your robo yaoi. As I’ve seen countless Glamrock Bonnies that are just white ass twinks.
