A very special thing came in the mail today. From @blackphoenixalchemylab comes Schmendrick, from the on-hiatus Last Unicorn scent line. When I saw that there were a few bottles of this left in the Etsy stock release, I immediately bought one, because I’ve regretted not doing so when I had the chance for a few years now. This perfume triggers the scent memory of my grandpa, who passed away in 1993. The memory of sitting on his lap and rubbing my cheek on the scratchy stubble of his cheek, and the way he would sing off-key lullabies to me while bouncing me on his knee. Sometimes I wear a @blackphoenixalchemylab scent for the name almost as much as for the smell.
