What would a black smoke female with no white and a brown tuxedo tabby (30% white) tom have?

If both parents carry dilute, each kit has a 25% chance of being grey instead of black/brown. Otherwise, every kit will be black/brown.

If the tom carries solid, each kit will have a 50/50 chance of being solid vs. tabby. Otherwise, every kit will be a tabby.

If the female only has one silver/smoke gene, each kit will have a 50/50 chance of being smoke if solid or silver if tabby. If the female has two silver/smoke genes, every kit will be silver or smoke.

Each kit has a 50% chance of having anywhere from 0-60% white and a 50% chance of having no white at all.

What would a solid chocolate tom with around 60% white spotting and a blue silver spotted tabby with <10% white spotting be able to have? Additionally, what could that same chocolate tom have with a solid black smoke? Thank you in advance!

For both pairings, the kits will all have black-based colors unless the she-cat carries chocolate (which is unlikely since chocolate isn’t super common, but if you want them to, they can). For either pairing, if the she-cat carries chocolate the kit will have a 50/50 chance of being chocolate.

For the second pairing (blue silver spotted tabby she-cat):

If the spotted tabby carries solid, the kits will have a 50% chance of being spotted tabbies and a 50% chance of being solid. If the spotted tabby doesn’t carry solid, they’ll all be tabbies. Depending on what both cats carry regarding agouti spotting, the tabby kits could have 50%, 75%, or 100% of being spotted as well (it’s up to you there).

If the chocolate tom carries dilute, the kits will have a 50% chance of being dilute (black > blue, chocolate > lilac). Otherwise, they’ll all be non-dilute. 

If the she-cat carries non-silver, each kit will have a 50% chance of being silver (if tabby) or smoke (if solid). If she doesn’t carry non silver, every kit will be either silver or smoke.

Pretty much every kit will have some amount of white. About half will have anywhere from 0-60%, and about half will have anywhere from 40-100%.

For the second pairing (solid black smoke she-cat):

All the kits will be solid. If both cats carry dilute, each kit will have a 25% chance of being dilute (black > blue, chocolate > lilac). Otherwise, every kit will be non-dilute.

If the she-cat carries non-silver, each kit will have a 50% chance of being (silver)smoke. If she doesn’t, every kit will be (silver) smoke.

If the she-cat has one or more copies of wide band and some of the kits aren’t silver smoke, the non-silver kits could have either a 50% or 100% chance of being golden smoke. Check out yesterday’s post if you want more information on how the silver and golden series interact with each other.

About half the kits will have some (0-60%) white, about half won’t have any.
