Blackstone Brewing - Adam Bomb
Blackstone has been around Nashville for as long as I can remember, and while I have not been there in quite some time, I was aware that they are producing some great beer at their brewpub. Since I'm not in Nashville all that often, there was just never enough time to swing by to check it out. Fortunately, word had been traveling about their beer, and finally demand dictated that they start bottling their beer. As I mentioned a few posts ago, my sister gave me an actual box full of beer for Christmas, and lucky for me, there were a few Adam Bombs mixed in.
Blackstone's Adam Bomb is an American IPA that carries a hefty 7.3% ABV. Short of an actual DIPA, this one boasts one of the more strong and complex hop profiles of any beer I've had recently. There's a decent amount of sweetness up front, but the backend is easily dominated by some hop bitterness. That being said, it does strike a good balance between the citrusy hops and the sweet malts, and I will definitely be keeping an eye out for Blackstone's offerings next time I'm around Nashville. Cheers!
