In the seas north of Lordaeron sits an old silent isle known as Asto’re Alah in the Thalassian tongue. The common man would know it simply as Emerald Isle. Known for a vast network of honeycomb caves filled with beautiful emeralds, the isle had fallen to the Scourge during the Third War. With the escalation of the Siege winding down, Sin’dorei and human colonists have returned to the hidden an ancient place.
To the far north of the Isle sits the port town of Dawnbreaker Anchorage. This once thriving port had been lost to the Undead that swarmed from the seas. Since then Blood Knight Templars have reclaimed it from the damned.
To the far south sits a tall and foreboding castle. First built by Kul Tiras merchant admirals, and let claimed by Lordaeron, the castle has battered the howling winds of the sea and remained strong. Reclaimers from Lordaeron now keep the fortress in somewhat workable condition. Though the Sin’dorei and the humans of Lordaeron once swore a truce, that timid peace ended upon Kael’thas’ imprisonment.
Both parties of reclaimers have sent partitions of aid to their homelands. The prize for defending the isle are the bountiful and rich emerald mines below, and more important the victors would win a critical sea port north of Tirisfal.
The Alliance and Horde will square off in a single night of battle to control the island of Asto’re Alah. These forces will join battle in an attempt to claim the island for themselves. The isle is extremely wealthy with emeralds and other important artifacts. More importantly it holds a critical port in the volatile waters north of Lordaeron.
The battle will take place on the 10th of November at 8:00PM. It will be concluded by 10:00PM or shortly after. Using a Wargame, the Horde and the Alliance will spar off 40 versus 40 within an IoC conflict. Each force is welcome to bring friends or allied guilds to participate. The winning faction will gain the isle and all her spoils.
Since it’s a wargame there isn’t a threat of trolling or mishap. All normal rules will apply. The start of the wargame will feature some minor RP between factions, but most of the cross faction storyline will take place prior to the event. Once the event starts each faction will participate in the war game.
More rules are to be determined.
There will be a hard cap limit of participation to 40 players. New players cannot join the wargame once it has started. Please make sure that you have at least two hours of time to participate since your slot in the raid cannot be refilled.
There may be minor adjustments to the event based upon demand. All parties should be expected to react to each event as their character would. A singular vent will be used for communication between each faction to make things easier.
