Why you need to watch Number24...
I'm about to go way, way back to a show that definitely slipped underneath ALL your radars: number24. It was a magical rugby anime chock-full of beautiful boys, fujoshi bait, and actual plot. Mind you, I had no idea how rugby even worked but I was seriously beyond excited at every action scene. The dialogue?? HILARIOUS. This show knew what it was doing with a female audience and the main character was shockingly snarky as hell.
I really can't put into words how wonderful the bromance vibes were. I am beginning to realize anime writers know exactly what they're doing with the animation there. It went to some extreme levels to bait me but I was digging every moment. Now, if that's not your vibe, you can still enjoy the character dynamics, friendships ("friends"...), and the "you can do it!" when it comes to beating rival teams. Mix in some fierce competition and tragic backstory.
I binged the entire show in a single day and... #noregrets. Your turn! Come back and tell me what you thought about that certain church scene...

Mafuyu comes over to Ugetsu's for music lessons every now and then, even after Ugetsu and Akihiko break up. They end up on the floor of Ugetsu's kitchen a lot, understanding that really, they're teaching each other.
A (not romantic/sexual) series about how Mafuyu and Ugetsu end up relating over the fact that they both feel the weight of the world but can't express it very well. This is one of those constant WIP things, the chapters are linear but they don't really have any narrative thread. Just little chapters of them talking based on my favorite scene in the manga (and the idea that we may never see Ugetsu again so I wanted to make sure he was happy).

To this day Ugetsu still wonders just why he kept the cat in the first place.
[So, this is the last one. This one just has some wholesome cat & ugetsu feels plus maafuyu being a little shit and making Ugetsu laugh. Its a good read really and definitely lighter then some of the recs here.]
