Happy Pride Month to all the Blaqueers outchea! To my fellow bisexuals...
The most often homophobic question I get is "Why is there not a straight history month?" or "Why isn't there a straight pride?"
I'm sure other people get asked this question, so I will share my default answer: "Why is there a Black History month?"
Black people suffered as much as queer people did. That's why both people of color and queer people have months dedicated to them. FOR THE RECORD: No idea why Black History Month is shorter than Pride Month. Should be longer in my opinion, seems like they have more history so we should have more time to learn about it.
Now for the million-dollar question: why do queer people get less recognition even though there IS a month for them? Answer: Oh, maybe it's because we don't teach queer history in schools.
Why don't we teach queer history? Answer that, teachers. Put the name Stormé DeLarvarie in the history books right there with Rosa Parks cause they both equally deserve to be there. Even if DeLarvarie diiiiiiiiiid punch someone and Parks didn't.
Here's to teaching lots of Black history, Pride history, and above all, BlaQueer history.
Edit: BLAQUEER ISN'T A POPULAR TAG. WHAT. MAKE IT A POPUAR TAG. RIGHT NOW.

As I sat down to continue designing my upcoming coaching program, the recent advice from my own coach came through: take photos and share your journey more. Simple advice yet not always the easiest to follow through as someone who's always questioned their physical appearance and body.
Many folks don't believe me when I share my struggles with physical appearance, which is why I rarely discuss it at all publicly.
Yet, I realize that my silence and invisibility only keeps me dimming my light and stagnant when it comes to my physical self-love goals. So screw it; I'm gonna speak on insecurities and also put myself in front of the camera more to accept myself as the Divine work in progress my Ancestors and Highest Self keep showing me I am.
The beauty of stepping into coaching is accepting things as they are and feeling inspired and empowered enough to evolve. My truths serve as markers of experience and humbling memories that connect me with folks who resonate and are willing to allow me to aid them on their path to fulfillment.
To all of my fellow folks out there overcoming their blocks and insecurities to put themselves out there, visibly and purely, I see and uplift you. Our stories are meant to be told. Our truths are lights for the integration of shadows. And our combined healing generates the love we need to cultivate this world in abundance and joy.

#NamelessWoman #transwomen #nonbinary #BlaQueer #BlackBooksMatter #NativesAreStillHere #sciencefiction #sliceoflife For some reason, I've had this wonderful book for over a year and only recently rediscovered it and read it. What I loved: each story is written by trans and nonbinary indigenous and/or Black people, many of the sci fi/cyberpunk stories were spot on, and each spoke to the realities of the culture we live in, there was even a story about a conservative Republican politician who happened to have a trans daughter who was murdered and the creation of a bill that didn't cater to the left but still protected trans women was amazing!!! Plus there was an #Utena influenced story that I totally geeked over. I found many authors that I'm adding to my favorites list! Things to note: there were very few romantic relationships between Black and indigenous people, they tended to end up with white people, some of the formatting and editing for a few stories was a bit odd, and the plot for a couple of stories was hard to follow. https://www.instagram.com/p/B0hNUb_A-6F/?igshid=1ix20pkveovd8

Vulnerability among us cannot be a signifier for vultures, parasites or scavengers to at those exposed pieces of us. No, instead, it should be a clarion call to the griots, the healers, the shamans, the artists, the children, the elders, the lovers and all those with a beating heart to come and gather 'round: so they too may assist in, and experience, the love practice of a village without bounds
