This random kid from the academy looks like Genji Isawa it's not

Anyway may I talk about Genji a bit? In the novel WDKALY it was revealed he was the former third seat of the 5th division! Unfortunately in the war he lost his legs (now replaced by prosthetics the opposite color of Izuru's) He could no longer shunpo and wanted to retire. Thanks to a recommendation by Shinji, he was given the job as headmaster of the academy! Izuru and him go wayy back as apparently he was Izuru's dormmate and Izuru would watch him complete all his school work in the middle of the night right before it was due. I'm pretty sure he wasn't in the advanced class but in Rukia's? The fifth division gave him the nickname the "hawk" of paperwork

Anyway his moments with Izuru are really cute..like how he says he's glad he's at least still there, and when Izuru smiles at how proud Genji is of his ability to do paperwork efficiently.. Genji is a very jovial dude I just love him a lot..

It's so funny to read CFYOW after WDKALY because in WDKALY, the narration just randomly drops the info on who the new Soul King is and never makes a big deal out of it, while CFYOW builds it up as a great dark secret with a dramatic reveal
