I've known for some time that the name "Nelo Angelo" looks the way it does because it's a latin/katakana mistransliteration of the Italian phrase "Nero Angelo", but I've also read recently that the name "Sparda" is most likely also a latin/katakana mistransliteration of the word "Spada". And while this is a good Doylist explanation for why the characters are called the way they are, the whole thing is calling for a Watsonian explanation that the demons, by nature, for some inconceivable reason, are just really, really bad at spelling

It's interesting how the trope that seems to connect the Traitor Trio's lieutenants is their outstanding durability. Hisagi has got a bankai that makes him immortal as long as his opponent is alive. Most of Kira's body is practically dead, but he is being kept sentient and operational by some wacky zombie tech. Hinamori made it through two "should have died from that" events and ended up in a surprisingly decent shape, and I'm suspecting at this point that she will also receive some explicitly immortality-themed powers if Bleach is ever continued
