Bleak Inlet Tips and Tricks
I started the map yesterday, and let me tell you, it has not been a smooth ride... So here are a couple of things you should think of before playing on BI:
Enter the map coming from the Ravine if you can. You will need to access that to get into the Cannery and the rope-less cliff makes it impossible to access it from any other area on the map
Bring a Mountaineering Rope. You will need to get down a cliff, and there will be no rope in the area you can access (at least in my case). If you, like me, need to get one from somewhere else, you can find the closest ropes in Mystery Lake and Pleasant Valley (got mine at the detroyed watchtower in ML)
There is a note in the shack at the Radio Tower. It is absolutely vital for you to take it. Don't just look at it, take it
Bring a gun. There will be a Timberwolf Pack greeting you once you approach the Outlook. Bring as many rounds of ammo as you can, because I think they changed something. The packs seem harder to chase off
Bring lots of medicine and food
A prybar isn't necessary but useful here
I've made it into the Cannery today and, well, it was an experience. More packs, tricky pathways and waiting around for an aurora. I managed to do it all in one, but I honestly think I got lucky or I would have waited days for the lights to come on again. I'll definitely upload a guide to getting into the Cannery filled with pictures and such, so strap in, guys. It'll be a lot.
Well, well. Look who's started a new game on a new map. It me!
