Does Blueberry have a good relationship with his family?
Well.... not really.... right now he doesn't have any relationship with them at all actually
When he was younger and still lived with his parents - they were pretty strict family of wealthy Meos "family" (lumeris is species of aliens from endless space 2 game, our dnd game was based on this video game's setting. You can read more about lumeris society on wiki if you want) and he was afraid to come out to his parents as trans
But when he decided that he finally will do it, they told him that they found a perfect groom for their daughter (for him). And that this marriage would be very profitable and beneficial for both families, and that's its all decided and that if she doesn't really want to BE with him - thats also fine. They will get married and then can both continue to do whatever they both want to do etc
Of course Blueberry didn't want to marry that guy and realised that he doesn't have no more energy to deal with all that bullshit (he also just recently broke up with his girlfriend and was pretty down about that too)
So he just said okay and thank you
And then ran away. He was already good at piloting ships at this point
He made himself fake documents, did some not so legal jobs, even participated in pirate spaceship races, and ended up becoming bounty hunter after all
But he never contacted his parents after that bc he was afraid to be caught and marked as traitor by lumeris laws
He doesn't know that but his parents never gave him out to authorities
