Since I've been dealing with some sort of burnout since Art Fight, I couldn't exactly fill out a Summary of Art for 2022. So, I decided to whip up some insights into my character's designs, evolutions, and inspirations instead.

Figure this would be a good time to share the voices and music playlists for them too.

(Letter) To Nikkitah

Heya Nikki,

I haven't heard from you in a while.  I don't know if you're just somewhere without a mailbox, or just don't wanna hear from me, or just forgot.  Either way, we've been having some free time during the past few weeks thanks to the holidays, so I got bored and tried to keep my hands busy.

I was going to send this on the last day of Winter's Veil so that you didn't need to give me anything back, but I didn't quite finish on time, so it's a few days late.  Still, hope you like it, or at least don't stomp it to pieces immediately.

The letter is attached to a small package.  Upon being opened, Nikkitah would find a carefully carved wooden interlocking puzzle nestled inside a bed of red cloth.

I can't remember if I asked you this or not. Hopefully not. Sooo Sonari was really such a bright and sunny critter when she shipped out. Do you think she'll be different when she comes back?

I don’t think you asked this! If you did my brain is being a giant sieve as per usual and I forgot about it. >x>

As for Sonny, I think when she initially comes back, she will be a bit different. She won’t be able to keep up that same brightness and the sunniness for very long;  it might come in patches, just long enough to try and keep people from noticing, after which she’ll probably try to bow out and go be alone somewhere.

 The situation for Song is similar to a role-player, actor, whatever, trying to get into a character again when something massive just happened in their life and they don’t quite remember the character quite as much; there’s points where they don’t remember how they should act, or because of that large life event they are unable to keep the mask on.

After a while, though, she’ll definitely get back to normal.  The thing with Sonny’s bright and sunny personality is that it isn’t like a normal person’s, which would change and adapt as the situation did.  Since Sonny is simply acting out a facade, she eventually goes back to that point.  The personality is static, rather than dynamic, so it isn’t something that is likely to change. It just disappears for a little while when she has trouble keeping it going!
