"-What?" Taiyou had stopped mid sentence to look at the blonde, blue hues widening some. He hadn't expected those words to leave Tidus' lips, especially over a friend the orange haired teen hadn't seen since moving to the new city. He felt himself tense up as he realized he had maybe been spending too much time with his teammate and looked at the ground some.
He felt himself start to shake a bit, finger nails digging into the soft flesh of his skin, one breaking flesh but the pain was welcome. "I didn't-" He started but stopped and bit his lip before looking up at the blonde again.
"It's not like that!" He shouted now, anger boiling up in his chest. Did Tidus really think he was that kind of person? The thought offended and hurt him and he looked away before slipping past and stalking out of the door, keeping the tears at bay even though they stung his eyes.
He wasn't sure where he planned to go, only that he needed to get away. He needed some fresh air, and he needed to think. How could the elder actually accuse him like that? That was the part that got to him the most, since he knew full well he would never do anything to hurt the blonde, which he hadn't known he had been hurting the blonde.
He had never been in a relationship before this, so he didn't know hanging out with his teammate would be such a problem. When he finally felt the cool wind sting at his blazing cheeks, he let a small sniffle out before wiping his arm along his eyes, the movement causing more tears to bud.
He wasn't sure what to do now. He knew he should try and apologize, but he still hadn't thought he had done anything wrong.
"Hey, are we going anywhere?" The question was out of simple curiosity. Taiyou had never celebrated Valentine's before, seeing as this was also the teen's first relationship in general. Sure, he had gone out to eat with his mom for the day a few times, but that wasn't even close to this.
He looked around the apartment a moment before he walked over and flopped onto the couch next to the blonde, looking him over with a soft smile. "It's okay to stay home, too, though. I was just wondering if I should get ready." He mused, hand moving to his chin. For him, just being together was enough, but if they were going out, he wanted to be ready.
