The majestic South Fork of the Snake River pictured here flows across southeastern Idaho through high mountain valleys, rugged canyons and broad floodplains. Located near some of the world’s best known recreation areas, the South Fork is home to 100+ bird species, moose, deer and other wildlife. 04/04/21 - Chiriaco Summit, CA - FREE PARKING - Made it to California where we plan to do a few National Parks starting with nearby Joshua Tree later today. We overnighted at this spot on easily accessible BLM land just behind the General Patton Memorial Museum and its tank graveyard out back. We loved the peace and quiet at the deserts edge and very much enjoyed the scenery bathed in both the early evening and early morning light. Best of all, the price was right: free.

Throwback to Wyoming. To Asa, Elijah, Kristen, Doug, and Melanie. I miss all yall so much and I really hope I get to see you soon❤️❤️❤️ now that I’m gone I’m recognizing how special of a place this was. I knew future me would relish the experience.
