so i'm basically having the most amazing time here at CC. i finished my first class, and block 2 starts tomorrow! i'm going to be making a documentary this block which i'm so stoked about. i'm thinking about either doing something on the homeless culture here in C Springs or the underground poetry scene in Manitou Springs, i'm not really sure yet. either way, it's going to be an amazing experience. also, i have the best boyfriend in the whole world. he was gone all block break, but he's finally back and wow i missed him so much <3 next block break he wants to take me back to his house in Cali, but idunno, i'm kind of nervous about it. we've only been dating for like 5 weeks...and i feel like it's a little early..and i don't want his parents paying for me..i just feel baddd. idek. i guess i'll cross that bridge when i get to it. i'm still IN LOVE with my tattoo, but it's healing and peeling (that rhymed ;)) umm is this normal? it also itches like a motherfucker. anyway, catch ya'll on the flipside. keep posting and being awesome <3

Well, I haven't been on Tumblr much since the beginning of Block 2. Now, it's block break, and we are about to start Block 3. I have been feeling very homesick lately, especially since my roommate was homesick the whole past block, and now she's home in Kansas visiting her parents. I just wish I could go back and visit my family in Los Angeles, but it is not possible. I wont see them until December and that seems like a very long time. I havent been in the mood to get out of my room even though I should have, at least to go touch the snow or something. But tomorrow, I will go out to basketball practice and hopefully feel better. Maybe I should go out tomorrow too. Well, I just want to feel better.

First Block Break :D

So, this is my first Block Break at CC and it was SUPER AWESOME!! I left on a backpacking trip with other freshmen and our two cool leaders and it was legit. Even though we didn't really backpack because of the extreme weather it was all worth it. The first day, which was Wednesday, we left and we got to our campsite, which was about 2 hours away from our campus. We got there and set up and then cooked. After a while, we went over some common rules and it started to pour on us, and then thunder and lightning scared the shit out of everyone, so we just all went inside our tents before it started raining like crazy. The second day we went on a hike on the St. Charles trail and it was very difficult for me because I was sick and because I have asthma, on some parts I just wanted to give up, but I went all the way. We saw an old destroyed mine and then we went back down to find a place to eat. Well, I don't really want to say all the details, but the next day we left the campsite and went to the sand dunes and backpacked there, but our leaders changed their mind because of my health so we went to camp at a nearby site which was super awesome and we had a dance party, made smores, played ninja at night (I won!!), looked at the stars and the different backgrounds of the place (one half was city lights and the other half was mountains) and we slept outside. The moon was really bright and it was awesome. The time I was there I didn't feel sick or anything, I just loved it. I know this is kind of late but whatever.
