Bee person based off the species Sphecodes monilicornis, the box headed blood bee.

I often see Sphecodes bees out at this time of year, it's a shame they're difficult to identify down to species though.

Not sure what species this bee is, but it looks like it's from genus Sphecodes. And their colloquial name is blood bees!

I get that they're called so because of their colour, but also I'm now imagining bees that make their honey from blood somehow. Nightmarish yet delicious!
