@bloodnik entered the Lost Woods...
There was a reason why so many signs, homemade ones, were found all over the perimeter of the Lost Woods. During the day, there were less chances of running into monsters. You might find a bear or some very upset coyotes, but very rarely did yōkai come out into the light...
Except for deeper in. The true “lost” portion of the woods, forever dark and full of cool mists. The trees pushed themselves together so tightly that it was impossible for the sun to peek through. If you were lucky, on summer nights, fireflies would light the way. But even then, you couldn’t trust any strange fires you saw this deep in the woods.
The Onibi had struck again, it seemed. Either that, or it had been a kitsune. Robin had dispatched the strange blue flames floating around the immediate area, crouching down to look at the man who had nearly sealed his own doom just by walking beyond the pines.
“You should have listened to the signs.” The wolf shifter whispered, a sense of urgency flooding any need to be kind or patient. “How many of your friends have gone past here? Be quick and tell me, otherwise I may not find them in time.”
Though, if she took the minute of silence to breathe, there was no other human scents here. It seemed the man was alone. And maybe that wasn't much better than what she had first assumed.
