iPad is dying but I love my redesign of Roxy so much!!!!! No endgame secrets for my Winx Club reboot since I know it’ll just be fanfiction. So here’s a sneak peek at some BloomxRoxy.

Also I changed Roxys power to be earth based instead of animal because 1) winx is often pretty on the nose about names and powers. Icy.....Flora.....Tecna, you get it. So Roxy gets rocks. And then I made them pretty rock cuz magical girls so she has crystal powers. And 2) Flora is a fairy of nature, animals are apart of nature and it just overlaps in a way I didn’t like.

Is there any Bloom/Roxy backstory/lore 👀👀

For BloomxRoxy backstory there isn’t any. They meet for the first time after my story starts. But in general they were both sent to Earth roughly a year apart and they were both adopted. Though Roxy’s adoptive mother died about 3 years before my story start.

There’s not to much else before the story starts, my story isn’t 100% fleshed out, but they live really normal lives before they find out about magic. Except when things randomly set themselves on fire near Bloom when she’s extremely upset. Her adoptive parents are definitely willing to believe she magic because of it and the other kids tease her because they claim she’s cursed. No vicious bullying because Bloom is prepared to settle things with her fists.

Roxy didn’t have these problems for narrative reasons, but before she gets her wings her magic isn’t strong enough to to do much. Mostly simple things like moving things with her mind without realizing it. Like when cooking and she needs some seasonings? She’ll just reach out without thinking and it just comes to her. That’s something that Bloom does too. Oh! Flowers never seem to die in her mothers flower shop when Bloom works it!

Oooooo I very much like it! Though there’s the equally promising DragonOpal 🤔 Though I like yours better lol.

Now I’m torn between CrystalKeeper and FireOpal, but I think FireOpal will win me out. It’s a summary of their powers and for shipping fodder a real gem that could be used as a representation for them. Like with rings.

Lol yes, they’re an OTP of mine. They work so well together imo, they both had a human childhood on earth with narrative arcs that mirror each other. There’s no one that could understand them the way they can. At least that’s what my shipper brain tells me.

Also idk their ship name is but I might come up with one for my specific version of them.
