The old pear tree has the most blossom it's had in years. They don't smell as good as plum blossom, but it looks fabulous. I picked one flowery twig - instant bouquet! Can there be too many pictures of pink blossom I think not! Some peach, some plum. Also the ever-generous Ipheon and the first Sparaxis of the year. I've been working on some landscaping around the fire-pit, in anticipation of social days in future. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻I've reused some very old fenceposts, and some metal and timber bedends to partly enclose the space (3 metres from the fire). I'm planting under and behind the new fence with tough, low-growing plants from around the garden. Spring is on the way! I suspect there's still some wintery weather left to go, but blossom has begun, and Grandma's stinky old Paperwhites are putting on a good show. They'd be lovely in a vase, but I can't take their perfume inside. Yesterday I dug up Simon's old man cactus, which had been in the ground for around 35years and not looking very happy. Some of the vigorous species were threatening to engulf it, so I decided to shift it into a big pot.
