people say tumblr staff doesn't take user preferences into account. but that's not true. clearly they very carefully study user preferences and carefully calibrate each update to make sure it's something nobody wants and absolutely everybody will hate so they can cause maximum dissatisfaction.

All they had to do to make this site successful is not fuck it up. They could have kept the porn and improved the filtering/tagging system, had the subscription service and the buttons and not added the tiers or whatever (the thing that made me cancel), and then just shut up and do their silly April Fools stuff every year. But no. They keep stabbing this site in the kidneys and then wondering why it won't stop bleeding money.
