happy two year anniversary to the last time i ever threw a flag!
This is it. The final ride of the Arizona Run. 15 days on the road comes to an end with a quick 210 mile ride from Clarksburg, WV home. It was an easy ride too, over well known roads. Basically just get on Route 50 and head east. While Route 50 is known as the Loneliest Road in America out west, it is neither lonely, nor straight like it is out west. No, this part of US 50 is twisty, turvy as it winds through the mountains. Rain was once again chasing us and we would get the occasional sprinkle. But eventually, we outran it and just had to deal with the oppressive humidity.
Gassing up at the intersection of 50 & 340, Bob and I said our goodbyes and remarked what a great ride it had been. I would be turning off when reached the intersection of US 15 . . . While it has truly been an amazing ride, I was anxious to get home to be with my family again. Though I have been away from the for 15 days, they have been with me every day - they have, in their own way, been a part of the ride. I know I could';t have done it with out them and their support. It was shortly after noon when I put the kickstand down outside my home. 15 days and 6,317 miles . . . Wow. While the ride is over, the posts about it are not. I have a lot of video to go through, I will do a full ride photo montage, and of course a Ride Numbers . . . But first, let me spend some time with my family . . .
PEACE OUT!
