Already posted my Red Dwarf and Starbug “info posters” but since I’ve recently finished Blue Midget one, here is the full trio.
And not just posters! I’ve also designed a bookmark for each spaceship. So that’s the front/back side :D

Realized it’s been a while since I actually posted anything here, so here’s a “screenshot” from the upcoming series of my AU Red Dwarf fic “The Unlikeliest Pair”. Series VII is winding down with “Nanarchy” posting tomorrow, so Series VIII is on the horizon. May Cloister have mercy on our souls.

Drawing of the original version of Blue Midget because it doesn’t get enough love imo
Red Dwarf 30 Days Challenge - Day 28: Starbug or Blue Midget?
this is actually a bit of an unfair question bc Starbug was their literal home for a few years and the Blue Midgets only appear a handful of times BUT THAT SAID, i still feel like picking Blue Midget :’) bc they drunk-drove it home from Rimmer’s deathday party and the Cat had that great dance number with one and that was possibly the best part of s8, so idk. also i know this is heresy but... Starbug just has the dumbest and most unpractical shape ever? i’m highkey sorry i said that but it’s just True

An original miniature section used in the production of the BBC science fiction comedy series Red Dwarf.
This cockpit section formed part of the large scale Blue Midget filming miniature built by Derek Meddings’ Magic Camera Company for series II. Constructed in Meddings’ signature style of heat formed plastic, with acrylic window sections, metal grill detailing to the nose with integral bulb, wired to light from behind and in working condition when attached to a battery. The piece is intricately detailed, hand painted and weathered with a dirtied down finish and even features a miniature tax disc to the main window section.
The section in in good production used condition with the top fairing removed and the wing mirrors deliberately cut off for use on other miniatures. The cockpit measures approximately 7" x 6" x 5".

The large scale Blue Midget filming miniature was cannibalised by Mike Tucker and Alan Brennan with the majority of the model becoming the basis for the White Midget miniature used in the series VII episode Ouroboros, this represents a rare surviving part of the original miniature.
I like to start a new month with a cover page in my bullet journal, so naturally that was Red Dwarf themed as well, the illustrations of Blue Midget & Red Dward were drawn on seperate paper & cut out to be glued on to a background of acrylic paint, watercolour pencils & white gel pen
