The morning sun is streaming through those French doors like a divine revelation, illuminating a room that managed to survive the aggressive brown-and-orange home decor invasion of the mid-70s by opting for a watery, psychedelic blue-green carpet grid instead. That single orange velvet pillow is doing a lot of heavy lifting to keep the era's signature color palette alive, though. It looks like the perfect place to sit stiffly and drink tea out of porcelain you're not allowed to touch.

Just wanna say i absolutely adore ur new house!! So much potential, and that shade of blue paint is so beautiful. I've followed your blog for who knows how long and you are just the person that house needs to fix it up. So hardworking and resourceful!!
Keep up the great posts!!!! And make sure to take breaks when needed, don't overexert yourself :)
Thank you! I am in love with the house, and with the blue. I know walls need the be re-finished and repainted but I don't want to touch any of the blue walls, they're too beautiful.
I'm taking more breaks now, the first few days I was full of adrenaline but now exhaustion is kicking in. Thank you for the kind message! I know a lot of people will not agree with my way of renovating but I can do whatever I want and nobody can stop me :))
