Can I get different versions of Riddler with an s/o who is a magician like Zatanna? Like if anyone insults him, they cast a curse spell on the person who harmed him

now, arkhamverse Eddie isn't one to be easily swayed. he is a man of science and doesn't believe a thing like magic exists. he's seen some weird shit in his life, but all of it can be explained. worst case, it's simply alien or from another universe, but can still be researched and at least reasoned by science. and what you've shown him is completely off the rails

at first, he will pester you. surely, this must be some advanced trick? you are a skilled illusionist darling, but now it's time to explain those tricks. once you prove it to him that you quite literally possess magical abilities, he's speechless for a moment. it's really hard for him to wrap his head around it. it's like you suddenly proved to him god existed - it was impossible!

but quite soon, he warms up to your powers and learns to appreciate them. curse anyone who wrongs him, you say... that might give him some ideas. there's a few people that wronged him, sure. although it still irks him a little that there's something in the world he can't understand. he even has half the mind to have you help out with his plans, but doesn't follow through with it because even he finds it unfair to fight against something that has no right to exist. Batman may be a cheater but he's no miracle-maker. if he's to take part in challenges, at least they have to be possible for a human to solve.

Young Justice!Riddler with a Zatanna-esque s/o hcs:

this Eddie has been faced with so much shit in his life, and even more shit during his "stay" at Belle Reve that he isn't even that surprised. he's come in contact with literal Zatanna as well as her father, so he knows that there's something out there he can't quite understand. metahumans and all that are almost explainable, but magic is just beyond human comprehension. and he's okay with that. honestly, he's even a little excited to learn about what you can do

he's very eager to know your abilities and boundaries, what's possible and impossible for you. your horizons are stretch way further than any normal humans and he's immensly curious as to what can you achieve with your powers. and they're really useful, too! it's like you can do anything, and he adores you for it

and learning that you're ready to literally curse the shit out of anyone that even dares to look at him the wrong way really strengthens his trust in you. you make him so confident and smug all the time. whenever someone insults him, he just smirks because he knows you're gonna be on their asses in a matter of seconds. you also make him feel... safe. like you'll always protect him, no matter what

similarly to arkhamverse, this Ed doesn't quite believe magic exists. everything can be explained and technologically faked, he'd know. he entertained the concept of magic, and was fond of the idea of it in books or games ever since he was a child. but it was merely a liking, and nothing can beat his admiration for what's real and what can be achieved if one just puts their mind into it. or, if he just puts his mind into it. he'd dare to call himself a magician as well, if he didn't feel it insulting to insinuate that his achievements were the result of anything other than his brilliant mind and skilled hands

and then you just pop up and give him a little whiplash. what kind of technology are you using? how advanced can it be to do shit like this? you'll have to be really persuasive to make him believe it's not technology, because at first, he'll think it's a joke and continue to pester you. and as much as the concept is hard to grasp at first for him, soon he just lets the shock die down and accepts it. he doesn't care enough to try and research it. there's so much weird shit happening in the world, magic is probably the least shocking thing he'd encounter

but it's not that he doesn't care about you or your powers. it might seem like it, but you're fascinating. he can't just shrug you off. and he has to admit, the fact that you're ready to hunt down his childhood bullies and curse them into oblivion really gets him hot and bothered under the collar. also, be ready for ridiculous petnames and terrible jokes. also, be ready for him to ask you if you can do this or that based on the games he played, especially dnd. he's a nerd, and he wants to know what you "specialize" in, what's your area of expertise, what exactly can you do

it kinda depends on how you meet.  if you just kinda bump into one another, i think is first instinct, as with most things, is to flirt. he loves cute people and loves seeing people blush. he doesn't feel like he’s in danger since you are so cute and all. he’ll probably underestimate you and if you want, you can use that to your advantage to beat him. or you can flirt back.

again, it depends on how you meet or what you're doing when he first sets eyes on you. if youre his type harvey might get a little flustered. he might stammer a little and hesitate before calling his goons because he wants to look at you for a few more seconds before everything goes to shit. twoface is similar but more in a “oh gee i hope this doesnt awaken anything in me” kinda way.

ive is not a particularly mothering person, not to humans at least. but with you? god she just wants to baby you so much. you're so cute why are you out fighting crime and not sitting on her lap while she plays with your hair??? if shes able to control your mind she absolutely will do that but if not shes just going to flirt with you constantly until you give in.

ohh hes going to enjoy scaring such a cute little thing. imagine his disappointment when he finds you don't scare easily. he thought this was going to be like the big bad wolf torturing a little bunny but its more like the other way around. can you stop staring at him with those adorable eyes? you're making him feel ...things. emotions and shit and he’s not happy about it. god hes such a sucker for the puppy dog eyes too.

oh you are just ADORABLE! How on earth can he take you seriously when you’re this cute?! he doesn't even have it in his heart to put you in a death trap...well maybe just once, to see if you are as smart as you are cute. he wont let you get hurt, don't worry. its just an excuse for him to watch you get all indignant, he just LOVES the little look on your face when you're mad.

harley loves cute things and you are no exception. i think the biggest danger you're in from harley is getting a concussion when she rugby tackles you into a hug and nuzzle or when she kidnaps you to put on her shelf. don't worry, she’ll take very good care of you as long as you let her play dress up.

When I was reading the Always will Be chapter I feel like the reader is a tsundere towards Loki. Like blushes every time when he makes some flirty and cheesy remarks or nicknaming her to get her reaction.

Does Jonathan ever look what’s under Mimikyu’s cloak?

- Pokemon AU -

Jonathan saw some parts of Mimikyu the night of their first meeting. That Pokemon had stolen one of his medals and Jon decided to have his Duskul (who can follow their victims for several kilometers, if I remember correctly) take it's trail.

So they followed its trail to a small forest hut covered with moss. Some boards were missing, the door had already been torn off its hinges, it hung down across the ground and squeaked in the rushing night breeze. It was clear that no one had lived there for a long time... And yet in the interior stands a bed, table, chairs and an old stove, of which in the dust were heaps of glittering bits and pieces - the little medal laying between them.

But Jonathan's attention was more on the picture which was hanging from a rusty nail on the wall. The red paint on the frame had long since peeled off and the material was splintering, but the picture inside looked like it had just been taken. Someone must have taken care of it. It showed a young woman together with a Pokemon that he could no longer recognize.

Because as well as the picture was preserved, it was obvious that someone didn't want to see how that Pokemon looked like. Jonathan now more curious than annoyed, moved on through the manageable room and finally discovered the small lump of Pickachu fabric that sat in the corner of the room and tried obsessively to patch a large rip in his cloak.

The small body trembled slightly and Jonathan watched how it repeatedly failed because of this. He approached carefully, crouched down in front and took out another medal to hold it right under Mimikyu's nose. His theory was confirmed when this Mimikyu stared intently at that little piece of silver.

It seemed to have a not inconsiderably small obsession with shiny objects. That could mean that it just likes silver... or that it has something to do with the picture. Maybe it was Mimikyu's former owner? The picture looked too good, it must have been cared for for decades - so it seemed nearly obvious.

Maybe she had a job as a silversmith? Or a jeweler? The old figures in the fireplace looked like little presents ... maybe for this Pokemon? Jonathan's interest in Mimikyus grew more and more with each passing second. He carefully picked up the needle and watched it staring at his item, before starting to sew the hole. Jonathan realized that what he had already suspected, a black haze, similar to that of a shadow or a Gastly, was visible underneath. Not that he cared much, because he was way more interested in the Pokemon's mental development over all these years of isolation.

After that, Jonathan visited little Mimikyu regularly, watching it tending its treasures, cleaning the picture, collecting berries (probably more out of habit and less because it really needed it to live) and scooped water around the wild daisies and tall nettles behind its hut.

Besides all the almost compulsive disciplined activities, he also recognized how much it seemed to suffer. It sometimes stared at this old picture for hours, but at the same time it seemed possible for it to get rid of its past with every new little present Jon gave little Mimikyu.

funny thing, you two met before he became a supervillain! you were doing a marketing campaign for the company he worked for, and fate had it that he was in charge of perfecting all the details and he also had to explain to you what you were even advertising. he was also familiar with your music, it often played in the background, and occassionally he saw some news about you

he's... surprised, to say the least. he expected you to be snotty and shallow and a complete idiot. you're none of those things. you don't treat him like a "nerd". you're actually... really nice. and genuine when you don't have to pretend. you're... really pretty, too. and you... treated him like a human being and not a tool. he's really trying not to act like all of your fans and fuss over you or come up to talk to you only to freeze and make a fool out of himself

you're a pleasure to work with - that's what he said. he really enjoyed talking with you, even outside of work when you two had some coffee together - that's what he admitted. he'd really love to meet up with you again after your work is done - that's what never left his mouth. you have to take initiative and ask him out, because he won't. he doesn't quite think himself suitable to ask you to go on a date with him and needs a little push in the right direction

obviously, you being a big deal and Bruce Wayne being a big deal, it was inevitable that you'd show up in Wayne Enterprises at some point in life. some of his colleagues are totally smitten with you, he honestly doesn't care. you two meet when Bruce is showing you around. you comment on some of his work, he dissmisively responds "you wouldn't understand" and wants to call it a day. but you tell him to try you. you challenge him. and of course, he does try to confuse you as much as he can, but you still make some sense of his rambling, and that's way more than he'd expect of you. or anyone for that matter

you two have a little chat. he's trying to find out just how well you can connect the dots he draws for you. you simply enjoy talking with someone that isn't fussing over you or being a creep. obviously, since you're going to work with Wayne Enterprises on a new charity/foundation you'll be the face of, you two "stumble" into each other more than once after that. you're the only person to stand being around Ed. he slowly stops purposefully making you feel stupid. both of you realize you're actually decent people (if i dare say that about Edward), and somehow, it all turns into something more

you two probably met at some store late at night undercover (both undercover for way different reasons), and you can bet your ass he will immediately assume you are an utter fucking idiot and will talk to you with this hella condescending tone. like, he will literally come up to talk to you but at the same time act like you're bothering him or lowering the level of his IQ simply by existing in the same space. he's an asshole

you just tell him that for someone who calls himself The Riddler he sure as hell does suck at going undercover. a small argument ensues. which turns into an actually decent conversation. the store clerk is fuming, you're thriving. you probably stayed after closing time, browsing the alleys like you actually had a purpose and the clerk had to tell you three times to get to the damn checkout. soon enough, Ed found himself with your private number (god only knows why you trusted him this easily, but he likes to think it's because you've liked him so much) and a small, dopey smile on his face. even he has no idea how the fuck he managed to make someone like him enough to want to meet up with him again

he works with his hands. they're very rough and scarred, incredibly fatigued. he often forgets moisturiser too, so they're really adequate to his state and profession. they're the skilled hands of a hard, meticulous worker

so, you just taking his hand and kissing it gently, squeezing a little, feels a lot like recognition for what he does, appreciation. it reminds him that there's this one person that sees how hard he's worked for everything he's got, that recognises his actual brilliance

it's almost weirdly intimate for him. it makes his heart flutter. you see what those hands did, you know that some of those things weren't exactly... ethical or praise-worthy, and yet you love them, you let them feel something other than just cold, rough metal. you make him feel something
