I have taken full advantage of this holiday weekend and breakfast this morning was no exception. 🤷🏼♀️ . I woke up and made waffles for hubs and I. Some regular, some blueberry but I added blueberries on the side so that balances it out, right? 😜 . Just because you indulge for a meal, a day or a weekend doesn't mean you have to stay on that path. Get yourself back on the wagon and remember why you started your journey to begin with! . #breakfastfoodislife #breakfastismyfave #waffles #bigbreakfastwithhubs #blueberrywaffles #backonthewagon #dontgiveuponyourself https://www.instagram.com/p/BnRF6NSnRll/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=rs216shh9qfn

These simple blueberry waffles are a tasty breakfast treat that don't need syrup. Blueberries are great on their own because they are sweet and have a hint of sugar. Having a tasty breakfast today!
Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 2 tablespoons sugar. 1 teaspoon baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1 cup buttermilk. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted. 1 large egg. 1 cup fresh blueberries. Cooking spray.

Preheat your waffle iron and lightly grease it with cooking spray. Pour the batter onto the preheated waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions until golden brown and crispy. Serve the blueberry waffles hot and enjoy! No syrup necessary.
