Hello! I (@blueboyluca) recently started following your blog and it’s great! What is one goal you have for you and your dog(s) this year? What’s the story of how you decided on/got your dog(s)? If your dog(s) was an ice-cream flavour, what would they be and why?

Hi! I love following you and Luca and I’m really glad you’re enjoying my dogs as well! One goal I have in mind for my dogs is to title them in SOMETHING in 2019. For now it’s looking like those could be Working Pack Dog (more likely) and Working Team Dog (less likely). But either way I really want to accomplish their very first titles in 2019!

I decided to get Sigurd because I was looking for responsible breeders for my first dog on my own. I knew I wanted to work my dog and originally I thought I might go the Siberian route, but was concerned about high energy. I met a family friend’s show bred Malamute and I fell in love with him and his temperament, so I switched gears and started looking for Malamute Breeders that work their dogs. I actually found my breeder while browsing videos of malamutes working on youtube! When I visited her kennel website everything checked out and we waited for about two years to get a puppy from her. 

We actually decided to get Zombie on a whim, I had recently told the same breeder we were potentially looking to add dog #2 in 2019 or 2020. She had originally kept Zombie as part of her breeding program, but when she started exhibiting some anxieties she began looking for a pet home for her. She offered her to us and we had been originally hoping to get a Zombie puppy anyways so we went and adopted her (even though I was unemployed and we were planning our wedding!!). Sigurd was the best planned decision, but Zombie is for sure my best random decision…next dog will hopefully be more planned haha….

If S & Z were ice cream Zombie would be Coffee because she LOVES people, is super sweet, is a toasted color and is either ON or OFF, no in-between. 

If Sigurd was an Ice Cream he would be Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough because he is a big white asshole…but has many moments of amazingness (Those cookie dough chunks lol!)
