Know as blue eyed grass (Sisyrinchium rosette) also called Bermudian rosette. This “grass” is a member of the the iris family. It grows from a corm and is native of South America (southern Brazil to Argentina) The plant has naturalised almost all over the world and this year is doing very well in the back lawn, which wasn’t mown much over winter. It’s a weed but very pretty. #BlueEyedGrass #iris #SisyrinchiumRosette #flower

This is a low water / lower maintenance cottage garden. Yes!-even the established foxglove in the corner of the picture doesn’t require a lot of water. Low water drip irrigation that is customized to each plants requirements keep the plants healthy and little maintenance. This garden was established over 8 years ago and is pruned back slightly 2 times a year. Also the garden is under a large tree with mostly dappled sunlight.
