Q8: Favorite fanfic trope?
A: I have so many that I can’t just pick one, so I’m gonna give you my top favorite tropes. P.S.: Most of these will be romantic if not all of them.
When character A is injured and goes to their love interest (character B) for help and as B is patching up A they share longing eye contact then quickly look away, pretending that the unspoken moment never happened.
FAKE DATING TURNS INTO REAL DATING!
A and B are in a heated argument and one admits their feelings for the other by blurting out “BECAUSE I LOVE YOU” or something along the lines of I love you.
A pinning B’s hands above their head as their backed against a wall or vice versa. Just anything with one pinning down the other and standing super close.
Kissing to hide their faces from their enemies while on the run or on a mission.
Soft and short first kiss followed by a more passionate and hunger filled kiss that’s much longer than the first.
CHILDHOOD FRIENDS TO LOVERS!
A and B both have feelings for each other but neither of them know yet everyone else around them can tell.
A and B have just been through hell and after they finish their little after battle talk they touch foreheads and close their eyes.
Forehead touches in general.
A and B staring at each other’s lips before the kiss.
The Sentence Interrupting Kiss.
A slowly dying in B’s arms and B begging them to stay or vice versa.
Characters who aren't parents in canon becoming parents in fanfic.
I’d continue this list but we’d be here forever. These are some of my favorites that I can think of off the top of my head.
Q16: Favorite love story?
A: I’ve answered this one already, but that’s alright. I’ve never really thought about this one but I’ll enjoy anything with a happy ending.
(P.S. Thanks for sending these in. It’s fun and I really wanna do more.)
If anyone is interested, here’s a link to the post I reblogged with all the questions. I’d really love to answer more of these.
