I had the absolute pleasure of commissioning the fantastic @bluekaddis to draw Ivy and Dogmeat from right back in the early days when they were just starting out on their adventures, ready to see what Concord has in store.  Don’t worry guys, it’ll be fine...

I absolutely love them, they are the cutest!  Doesn’t Dogmeat look so dapper in his doggles and bandana??

With everything being, well, *gestures* right now, I decided to commission the awesome @bluekaddis for a fun pic of my Rosslyn Cousland introducing her overgrown pupper Cuno to the concept of kaddis, and it turned out even better than I imagined! Every war dog needs to learn how to be a good boy and have his face painted, but sometimes it’s more fun to lick your human’s face, instead.

If anyone is thinking of getting a commission, this artist is a joy to work with - thank you for such a wonderful piece of art!

My amazing and wonderful friend @bitchesofostwick kicked off Ginny-fest (i.e. the celebration of me on or around my birthday) early by commissioning me a lovely piece of art inspired by my fic Puppy Love (vet!Cullen Cullistair AU, featuring Alistair’s mabari Barkspawn)!

The art is by the fantastic @bluekaddis, and look at the beautiful detail! Barkspawn is exactly how I pictured her, complete with bandage on her leg! The classic vet's office animal health posters blurry in the background! THE AWKWARDNESS THAT OOZES OFF THE VIRTUAL PAGE!

Barkspawn is so clearly on board with whatever these two stuttering, babbling awkward dorks eventually figure out about their relationship!

Dorian always made it a point to complain anytime the weather outside turned less than perfect; it was always too rainy, too cold, too muddy, too dry, too… everything. Perhaps it annoyed his companions, but it helped him remember that his homeland, the place he wouldn’t return to anytime soon, would always be superior to anything Southern Thedas might have to offer. 

Which is why when a sudden snowstorm blanketed Skyhold in a thick layer of snow, nobody had to know that he thoroughly enjoyed sitting at his favorite window in the library while burrowed under a thick layer of blankets, slowly sipping on a cup of hot mulled wine and listening to the world outside be peaceful in its stillness.

I was lucky enough to commission the amazing @bluekaddis for this absolutely adorable piece of Freya and Thom in the Hissing Wastes, inspired by Blackwall’s fantastic dialogue if you take him to the tombs. I’m still squealing about the surprise nugs! I love them so much! Thank you so much ❤️❤️

There will be fic to accompany it but I’m having a bit of a writing confidence wobble at the moment. In the meantime, here’s the game dialogue that inspired it:

Inquisitor: You still haven't explained how you didn't starve in the desert.

Blackwall: Wilfred found berries growing on top of the rocks we were stranded on. It was that or nothing.

Blackwall: An hour later, he started screaming. We both started screaming.

Inquisitor: Poison?

Blackwall: Er... no. I wouldn't call it that.

Blackwall: I was convinced a ring of nugs was singing sea shanties to us for two nights running.

Seriously, if you haven’t taken him around the Hissing Wastes, you are missing out!
