✩ The distinction between Canon Ezio and Blue Ezio (Bluezio) is that Bluezio is the AU version where she saves Minrathous over Treviso, which locks her out of Lucanis' romance (he and Neve still get together) and she ends up with Davrin instead!
The blue hair started as a way for me to distinguish cutscene recordings, and also for funsies!!! It's an au so why not? :3
But given that, in canon, she cuts + bleaches her hair when leaving with Varric, I think changing her appearance after An Event is how she asserts control for herself.
(also ties into the fact that in canon, regardless, post campaign ezio shaves her head completely to regain her natural color !)
Ezio always has a Crow mask but Bluezio wears it more as a tether. "I fucked up but I'm still a Crow and I still have a duty."
Since she finished her contract on Solas, Viago relieves her of duty; (temporarily) exiling her to give people time to heal 😔❤️🩹
As for why Ezio saves Minrathous over Treviso: i rly think it came down to faith, she didn't think she would swing things AS much, she trusted Lucanis and Viago, she thought she would be quicker and i do think even with Neve and the Shadows gratitude she still. regrets. yk? :(
