Hardly getting any sleep the previous night, the crimsonette stumbled sluggishly out the door, paying no mind to her slightly ruffled up bedhead. It’s not like anyone would be out this early, she thought, attempting to reassure herself about her appearance. That wasn’t the only thing she was worried about, though. It just so happened that the dryer broke the night before, and since she had been busy the past few days, she didn’t have the time to fix it. Of course, her mom was out of town on a business trip, and calling Rin was out of the question, so it left her to fix it herself. But, being the little procrastinator she was, the manager ended up going five days without doing the laundry. The only reason she left today was because her clean clothes supply was running low, and all she had left were pj’s, which brought up another reason for her to be embarrassed: She had to go to the store in pink strawberry pajama bottoms. After finding what she assumed were the proper dryer parts, she quickly shuffled over to the checkout line which, thankfully, wasn’t that long. As she waited, a faint flashing in the corner of her eye caught her attention, and she craned her neck to look over the pile of parts in her arms. The light reflected off the plastic, and her eyes widened as she remembered the numbers fixed into her wrist. Was it time already? And at a place like this, at that! Her heart began to race as she frantically looked around, beginning to feel the heat rising in her cheeks. How would she be able to tell when he was coming if she couldn’t see the numbers? Just when she thought about dropping her items all together, a gentle hand cupped her shoulder, and she whipped around, meeting a soft, blue gaze. In her peripheral, the flashing subsided, as well as her eccentric heartbeat. These eyes were all too familiar, and she continued to stare until her vision became blurry. Of all of the people on Earth, she was happy it had to be Haru. So happy, in fact, that she forgot about her embarrassing appearance altogether.
