i need everyone to know that i had a dream where i was watching a video on my phone that was a clip of what seemed to be a simpsons adjacent style cartoon where cartoon David Tennant was sat reading a book that had a cover that said something similar to "The Metamorphosis but if it was written by Colleen Hoover instead of Franz Kafka" and he was Not enjoying it. also he was wearing a fez

Me, a composer:  Watches the Witcher, gets the gay for Tissaia, makes a little melody on the piano that could be a theme for her. Then proceeds to say “no, I won’t immediately make a melody for the moment where she got metal powder thrown into her face”. That moment made my heart jump into my throat because I though she was gonna die.  Me, also a writer who knows what it’s like to be fuelled by suffering characters:  Immediately makes a melody for that moment. 

(The melodies are in alternating D phrygian and D melodic minor. Because drama)

Me: I wanna compose, write and draw today, even if I'm not good at drawing and have a headache

Also me: *listens to music for 30 minutes, zoning out while trying to figure out the harmony, staring blankly at my screen all the time*

The Huntress Soundtrack Remastered

After acquiring new software, I remastered some of the tracks of my soundtrack for the fanfic The Huntress, since they honestly deserve that. My social media: Ko-Fi: https://ko-fi.com/brazenedminst

I promised you this as soon as I started composing this music. That whenever I’d have better software, I’d remaster the songs to sound like a real orchestra. Literal years later, it’s here. I can proudly present the first three remastered songs of my soundtrack for Mizu’s fanfic The Huntress. 

I remastered three songs. Amélie and Lena’s themes and the dramatic battle track I’m Coming for You. 

Some fun things about the remastered songs: 

The trumpet doesn’t break your ears anymore.

The solo violin in Amélie’s Theme sounds like an actual violin, as does the solo cello in I’m Coming for You.

There’s tremolo now. Maybe a bit too much tremolo.

New and improved chord progressions! Because I didn’t know what those were, when I made these songs. Poor little braz. 

The sounds aren’t so packed together anymore. They sound open, like an actual orchestra. This is most apparent in I’m Coming for You. 

The songs are still mostly sad and dramatic, like The Huntress itself.

There are so many tracks in here that I’m proud of. Amélie’s Theme is one of the 4 tracks that got me into the Academy of Music and Performing Arts, along with Forsaken March, Waltz of the Witch and the Warchief and an unreleased song. I’m Coming for you is also very good, probably the most well-structured song I made. The Stage is Set is the song for the first part of the epic final battle. I cannot wait for today’s update to see what they’re going through next :)
