To be fair to Qrow, he literally didn’t know Ren existed. An left the tribe when he was pretty young, and based on how the tribe reacts to “disloyalty” (and ya know Grimm) he sort of just assumed she was dead

So he visits Patch one day and the door is opened by this kid with the Branwen hair and eyes and he’s just like “Okay what the fuck is going on”

And yeah it takes Ren a while to get used to having siblings. He didn’t even really have FRIENDS his own age and now he has SISTERS

Was your 'first fandom' as per that recent post, by chance, His Dark Materials? The Dust thing threw me for loop in the V1 Intro the first time I watched it, lol

Yes, yes it was.

I'd watched and loved shows and movies and books beforehand, and even attempted to write Sonic X fanfic when I was eight and had no idea what fanfic was, but I got into HDM a few months before I got a laptop and thus internet access.

So I ended up googling His Dark Materials and ending up finding and signing up to a HDM forum, and that was my first internet community and fandom.

I was twelve. I've been on the internet ever since. Mostly bouncing between forums before signing up to Reddit in 2013, and then Tumblr in 2018.

That HDM forum is gone now, unfortunately. Or maybe fortunately, I was twelve, a lot of that shit is cringe.

But to be fair, that can be said of an absolute ton of my internet history, up to and including 2019.

I'm not far away enough from the 2020 stuff to cringe at it yet.
